A diagram of human evolution is shown backwards. Instead of standing tall on two legs with each stage the human figure crouches further, coming closer and closer to crawling on the ground. Told is a tale of a loss of trust in oneself. The figure was once able to navigate turbulent and difficult terrain with ease, rafting on a river in an inflatable boat with a team to support them, dodging hazardous obstacles. Now they are hiding in a cave, too afraid to step outside. There is safety in the cave — it shelters them from the looming desert, exposing everything to the relentless unforgiving sun without a moment of rest, a tree to cast a shadow, a possibility to leave some things in the dark. But this is the only way forward. If the figure stays in the safety of the shadows, it will end up like the bones of the skeleton it has been staring at in the cave.
